Naming Petitions:

• Keith Burns Field at Parker Grey Stadium:

  

  • It was a great ceremony filled with Mr. Burns's family and friends, along with elected officials from the School Board, City Council, and Virginia House of Delegates. 

• School Board/City Council Framework Draft

  • A draft has been completed and shows how the Board is taking steps to increase our collaboration with City Council 

• School Board/Community Engagement

  • Please join us for two special and new events:

    • Nov. 10th. Town Hall

• School Board Development

  • Oct. 15th a Board development session was held with Dr. Kim Bridges

    • This conversation has helped us to build our relationships and create strategies for the rest of the year

    • Next up the OEC will develop a holistic training plan for Board members 

      • This will allow current and any new members to get up to speed and have ongoing training throughout their terms.

• School Board Salaries

  • The draft has been seen by all three standing committees and includes proposed changes - a draft will be placed on the agenda for information on the Nov. 5th Board meeting

  • The resolution will be placed on the consent calendar Dec. 3rd.
