Next Meeting: 7:30 AM, September 18, 2026 in person at the School Board meeting room 


Focus will be on:

  • An update from the ad hoc committee on SB Election Reform

  • Beginning to work on and make the Legislative Positions document

  • Policy Revisions

    • EEA-R/EEAB-R - Student Transportation Services Regulations

    • IGDAA-R - Eligibility to Participate in Athletic and Co-curricular Activities Regulations

    • JFCB - Respect, Ethics and Integrity in Extracurricular Activities

    • JFCB-R - Prohibition of the Use of Hate Speech, Ethnically or Racially Insensitive Expressions in Extracurricular Activities

    • JFCB-R2 - Unsportsmanlike Conduct


General update:

  • The VSBA has accepted one of our legislative positions into their general legislative positions 

    • They support moving the state funding formula to a student based funding formula

    • Thank you to Mr. Beaty, who went to Charlottesville and presented our positions to the VSBA committee.
