06.11.26 Strategy and Accountability (S&A) Committee Update

We have concluded our meetings for the year. We have made some recommendations coming out of this year's work and lessons learned from this budget process. 

• We will continue to work with our division colleagues on their budget process modifications to ensure there is greater budget transparency - i.e. moving forward to more transparent budget planning factors. 

• Many of the recommendations from the Budget Advisory Committee’s annual report are things we are in agreement and alignment with. S&A will be working to bring those into alignment with our policies and approaches. 

• We have also done a lot of work across this year to make sure we are focused on our strategic plan and the monitoring and actions towards that. I want to both celebrate staff and the Board for how aligned and connected we have been with the strategic plan, it is driving our work in a way I am very glad to see. 

• We will be continuing our conversations about school capacity; middle school or otherwise. 

I want to shout out Mr. Turner, Dr. Page, Dr. Jackson and all your staff for your partnership throughout this year and I look forward to continuing this work into next year.
