1: Renaming Process
Owen’s Place will have a ceremony on June 2nd at 3:30pm at the Early Childhood Center
The Committee is continuing work on the other renaming sites
2: School Board Website
Highly encourage people to go to the website and read about Board actions and topics
3: Advisory Committees
Advisory Committee Reports are due to the OEC on May 1st
Advisory Committee Chairs can work with Board Member Scioscia if more time is needed
Once submitted to the OEC, the Advisory Committee Chairs will deliver a 5 minute report to the full School Board on May 21st or at another date should it be needed.
4: Board Development
Held a very successful Board Development on April 11
Main area of focus was on our internal Board Survey created by our Board Clerk, Dr. Deaton and Mr. Matt Smith
This discussion will help us to launch next year's focus on priorities for each standing committee
5: Student Representatives
Looking at applications for the three new student representatives to the Board for school year 26-27
6: Next meeting
The next OEC meeting will take place on May 5th at 6:30pm in person at the ACPS School Board Room.
