What is? The Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is one of three School Board Standing Committees and is made up of three Board members - all of whom are appointed by the School Board Chair. The Governance Committee votes internally to set its Committee Chair, and Vice Chair for one year terms.
The charge Governance is set out in Policy BCE:
The Committee provides support and guidance to the full Board in the areas of:
Policy;
Regulations;
Board processes and procedures; and
Division legislative priorities.
